Twins

Last year, when Target Field opened, we were thrilled. Outdoor baseball in Minnesota - what a treat! We promised my dad tickets to a game (hopefully versus his favorite, the New York Yankees) for his birthday/Father's day present last year. We never managed to scrounge up tickets, so this spring we finally got tickets for a Twins/White Sox game for the day after Labor Day. (Tickets are still a hot commodity; maybe we'll get to a Yankees game next year).

My sister graciously hosted my parents for their visit since Jeff, Bella and I have been living with his mom (who also babysat so we could have a toddler-free game night experience).

We rode the light rail downtown from Fort Snelling, something I should really do again. It takes away the stress of freeway driving and gets me into a CITY without driving/flying to Chicago.
The stadium is beautiful. Our seats were in the nose bleeds. As in the very last row in the upper deck, but we were able to sneak down a few rows and snag some empty seats from no-shows.

Jeff had a great time, but said this is how he felt after spending the past 6 days slaving away in our basement.
